The American Kang Duk Won Karate Tournament is one of the longest running traditional martial arts competitions on the East Coast. The event was coordinated by Master Robert Lawlor, president of AKDWK, and directed by the school's Master Instructors. Fifty-five Black Belt instructors were on hand to perform demonstrations and to judge throughout the day.
Mr. Michael Delouche, Queen's University Dojang Black Belt Instructor (Kingston, Ont. Can.) was named the Karateka of the Year for 2009.
Congratulations and much appreciation to all members of American Kang Duk Won Karate, parents and families, and the staff of Jefferson College who helped in making this year's tournament an outstanding success!
